Sew Something

Sew Something

Monday-Tuesday, January 9-10, 2017

12 hours

Make this fun sewing mat for your sewing room!  It has four cheerful pockets and one pretty thread bag that detaches for easy emptying!!  The best part of all is the TOOL STRIP!  My favorite! If you have metal bobbins, the MAGNETIC tool strip can be the width of your mat!  It's so handy!  Don't worry - if your bobbins are plastic or cardboard, you can include the cute bobbin pockets in your tool strip!  Make sure you include a few magnetic blocks for your scissors, tweezers, needles, seam ripper, etc.

Make this beautiful heirloom bonnet!  The insert lace is made in the hoop with English Cotton Netting - it's so dainty and pretty!  You will be able to choose your color - soft pink or white.  If you have a preference, please let me know!

Bake ShopBake Shop (Sew Sweet Cupcake and Candy Cones)

Friday, January 13, 2017

6 Hours

These magnetic cupcake pincushions are deliciously sweet and so fun to make!  I couldn't stop!  Each section is made in the hoop, then put together with tab construction for a quick, easy, and oh so sweet project!  The top of the cupcake has pockets to hold four magnets, or you can leave them out for a traditional pincushion.  The magnets are quite handy - use them for metal bobbins, snips, pins, tweezers, etc. The candy cones are equally fun! The four (yep, just four) parts of the cone are made in the hoop, then assembled to make a delicious cone!  No sewing is required!!  The top opens, and the cones can be filled with candy (or Fiberfil if you prefer).  They are big enough to hold a handful of candy - mini candy bars will fit, too!  Hang them on your Christmas tree for a quick, easy treat.  Make them for your New Year's Party favors!  Wouldn't they be perfect for a bridal shower or wedding?  How about Easter!  Change the colors, and you have an easy project for any occasion.

The little makeup bag is sized just right for a night out.  Use it to carry makeup, keys, money, phone, etc.  It's so easy to make, you might just want one for your sewing room, too!
